Privacy Policy

Who this applies to

This policy covers businesses, creators, and admins who create an account or otherwise use DaakDen, including visitors who browse public job and creator listings.

Data we collect

• Account data: name, email, phone number, password (stored hashed by our auth provider), role (business or creator), and profile details you choose to add.
• Business profile: business name, category, location, website/social links, logo, and description. Businesses do not upload cover photos on DaakDen.
• Creator profile: location, categories, platforms, audience reach, portfolio items, showcase media, cover photo (optional), availability, hire-offer settings, and payout preferences.
• Social verification: profile URLs and follower counts you submit for admin review (handles stay hidden from businesses until escrow is secured).
• Transaction details: payment method preferences, transaction IDs you submit, credit pack purchases, escrow amounts, fees, and payout account details for receiving funds.
• Marketplace activity: jobs, bids, hire offers, campaigns, deliverable links, messages, reviews, disputes, moderation flags, and related timestamps.
• Invoices and statements: campaign invoice records we generate and email as PDF attachments (business escrow invoice and creator earnings statement).
• Technical data: basic device/browser information, IP-related signals used for security, and cookies needed to keep you signed in.

How we use data

• Provide accounts, onboarding, dashboards, messaging, hire offers, and campaign workflows.
• Verify social stats and notify you of review outcomes.
• Process job credits, escrow payments, creator payouts, refunds, and disputes.
• Send transactional email (signup confirmation, password reset, campaign notices, payment and verification updates, and invoice PDFs when escrow is verified or a creator payout is confirmed).
• Operate admin review queues and prevent fraud, abuse, hate, and off-platform payment or contact circumvention (including automated chat scanning and strike tracking).
• Improve product reliability and security.

How profiles and visibility work

DaakDen is not an anonymous free-for-all contact directory. Anyone can browse active creators who are eligible for discovery; only signed-in businesses can send hire offers. Creator profiles also unlock for a business when that creator bids on the business’s job. Social handles stay hidden from businesses until escrow is secured; only verified follower counts may be shown during discovery and bid review.

Who we share data with

We use infrastructure and service providers that process data on our behalf, including authentication/database hosting (Supabase), email delivery (Resend), and hosting for the website. We do not sell your personal data.

Within a campaign, the other party can see information needed to complete the job (brief, deliverables, chat, payment status). Admins can access records required to operate verification, payments, disputes, and safety - including full chat text when a message is flagged, even if contact details are hidden in the product UI.

Retention

We keep account and transaction records for as long as needed to run the marketplace, meet accounting and dispute needs, and comply with applicable law. You may request account closure; some records may remain where required for legal, fraud-prevention, or financial reasons.

Security

We use industry-standard protections such as encrypted transport (HTTPS), access controls, and row-level security on application data. No online service is perfectly secure; please use a strong unique password.

Your choices

• Update profile and settings information in your dashboard.
• Manage notification preferences where available.

Children

DaakDen is intended for adults who can enter into marketplace contracts. Do not use the service if you are under 18.
